We are here to impart some ideas for personalized Christmas ornaments. Hopefully, you would have a good Christmas and please everyone that you are gifting the gifts to.
Polymer Clay Balls
Here’s what you have to do to make the polymer balls. Slice, from a clay brick, polymer clay of ¼ inch depth. Now lay down the clay on a wax paper and roll out in a thickness of 1/8th of an inch. Take off the metal cap and then hook it from a clear glass ornament. Now wrap the sides of the square and smoothen the top, so that the ornament is fully covered. From the patterned canes cut a ¼th inch thick slice. These are long cylinders of clay with the flat ends patterned. So, when the canes are cut, they repeat the patterns. You will need around 15-20 of these for your personalized Christmas ornaments.
Remember the clay covered ornament? Place the slices (one by one) on the ornament. Smooth the edges of the slices outward with the help of your thumbs. Go on smoothening until you achieve a thickness of around 1/8 inch. By now, the ornament should be covered; now pinch the edges of the slices together, such that the edges should stand straight against the ornament. Trim away the seam-parts, which seem to stick upwards (the seams should still be closed). At last, bake your ornaments at 250 degrees Fahrenheit (in the middle tray) for about 20 minutes. After you take them out, pen down the name of the receiver with the help of a sparkle pen or you may also paste a paper on it and then write the name.
Custom shapes
You must have different cookie baking shapers right? Well. You can use them to create some custom personalized Christmas ornaments. Take a butter paper and place whatever shaped shaper you want, on it. Now make a combination of a considerable amount of plaster of Paris and water. Be very careful while making this composition as, the composition tends to dry out very fast. So, you have to make them wet enough to sustain the texture, till you fill the shapers, but not too runny. Pour the plaster in the shaper and then with a round ended stick, write the name of the person who you want to gift the thing to. You can also make these personalized Christmas ornaments by adding some color to the plaster and instead of engraving the name, you can add bought alphabets.
The range of making custom personalized Christmas ornaments is unending. Explore the possibilities and surprise your loved one.
